Color Black is an another view from Color Block, playing with the idea of matter. The sculptural figures are more liquid than solid as the black treatment gives them a substance of petroleum jelly.

I decided to strip the series of its dominant visual element - color - and bind my focus to the modeled form and texture of the subject.

The lack of the dominant stimuli in Color Black encourages the engagement of others.
